bonfire night and etc
just a short note since i'm not entirely focused on writing at the moment. last week was lots of fun. i watched life is beautiful but since i had already seen the last bits (damn you film lit), it wasn't quite as striking. still a great movie, though. i went out for bonfire night on thursday, which was great but cold&damp so we didn't stay out long. instead, we watched eulogy, which everyone seemed to enjoy. i also tried to make s'mores, but apparently they are "too sweet" for british sensibilities. friday i finished up some research on my essay and went out for 80s night (but the night wasn't great, so i've decided i should've just done my essay). saturday was much better, more research and then coffee, dinner, and drinks with N. we listened to some good music at trof and D joined us after he finished work. sunday was some more research. monday found me working on my group exhibit. we're almost finished with it, and i'm really excited about how it's turning out. i'll definitely post pics after it's completed. today i spoke with one of my profs about picking up another internship. if all goes as it should, i will be helping the manchester museum with visitor surveys. this is in addition to the RNCM position, but unfortunately my contact there has been out sick and hasn't gotten back to me. i also led my last seminar today, and that went really well although everyone was really tired (essays, again). tonight i think i'll do some reading of my own and then an early bedtime. i promise to write more on this week since i have some really exciting stuff coming up: Em is visiting, xmas lights are going on, and N and i are having a girl's night out (finally). also, i'll hopefully be able to brag about the collection i get to immerse myself in!
